Hostal El Bando in Cartagena is an absolute gem! Its proximity to the airport—literally just two blocks away—was perfect for my late-night arrival, making it a sanctuary of quiet amidst the bustling city. The staff's warmth, especially when they accommodated my late-night snack cravings, added a personal touch that really resonated with me as a wildlife conservationist who values authentic connections while traveling. I also appreciated the privacy in the dorms, which had comfy beds and curtains, ensuring a good rest before my next adventure!
